Studio Voice, Keyboard Studies, and Instrumental Studies
The Department of Music at Covenant College invites applications for the following positions beginning the 2014-2015 academic year. These openings are full time, tenure track assistant or associate professor positions:
- Studio Voice, teaching private voice lessons and courses in pedagogy/literature, providing instructional support for musical theatre productions.
- Keyboard Studies, teaching private lessons in piano (possibly organ and harpsichord as well) and courses in pedagogy/literature.
- Instrumental Studies, directing instrumental ensembles (orchestra, jazz band, etc.) and teaching courses in pedagogy/literature.
The successful candidates will also be involved in recruiting and in contributing to both the music core (theory, history) and the college liberal arts core. Preference will be given to candidates who are conversant in current trends in music and worship and/or have experience in K-12 music education, as well as to those with a demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative avenues of artistry. Master's degree required, doctorate preferred.
