Tenure Track position in English - Jakarta, Indonesia
Covenant College, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America and a Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track position in the English Department beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year at a new Covenant campus in Jakarta, Indonesia.
A Covenant College branch campus in Indonesia will create new opportunities for the college throughout Asia, the most populous region in the world. The numeric growth of the Christian church, an increased interest in Christian education, and new freedoms in a variety of countries combine to make this a unique time and possibility. The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in English, higher education experience, knowledge, credentials, and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Prior experience in international and/or cross-cultural settings is a plus, but not required. This faculty person will teach both lower and upper division courses in the major.
