Most influential experience at Covenant:
The process of writing my senior thesis was one of my most valuable times of intellectual wrestling. I learned to approach an academic pursuit as something entirely attached to the way I see the world, understand God, and even how I care for people.
Also, the way that I was cared for by students, staff, and professors was life altering. People in the Covenant community loved me during some of the most exciting and difficult times of my life. The kind of growth that can occur when people care for one another is amazing. That does happen at Covenant.
Why I chose Covenant:
I chose Covenant because I felt that I wanted to be like some of the people I saw at Covenant. I saw people who wanted to go and do things with a deeper sense of purpose. Also, I had never seen serious academic work being performed under and through the lens of Christianity. And more than any of these reasons, I felt a pull to come to Covenant that in hindsight was a definite call of the Spirit.
