Rebecca Chambers
Campus Visit Coordinator
Major at Covenant:
Business
Hometown:
Gastonia, NC
Most influential experience at Covenant:
In-class debates that challenged me to think about new ideas and reshape old ideas. These conversations forced me and my classmates to work through difficult topics like, business ethics, witnessing in cross-cultural settings, and using our future vocations to honor God. I had many discussions after class with my professors, and I really appreciated their willingness to continue explaining and discussing topics with me.
My co-curricular activities during college:
Business club, Mu Kappa club, O-team, Discipleship Coordinator, Intramural sports
Why I chose Covenant:
I visited Covenant with a friend and we both fell in love with the campus shortly after we arrived. Originally, Covenant was not the type of school I was interested in. I wanted to go to a big state school with a football team. But when I arrived on campus, I loved the student life. I saw hallmates come alongside their friends and pray for them and support them and I realized I wanted to be a community like this. When I left, my final impression was that the campus was a fun and vibrant environment where students were growing in their faith and I knew this was where God wanted me to be.
Favorite Covenant College event:
80's skate night, Jazz on the Overlook, Kilter, Mac Movie Night, Baker Tree Festival
