Hello, my name is Beverly Frame, and I graduated from Covenant College in May 2008. I come from a small, homey, country town called McConnells in South Carolina. My drives up beautiful Lookout Mountain began when I was a little girl saying goodbye to my lovely sisters who started the line to Covenant in 2000. Little did I know that God had a plan for me also in the Covenant community.
The relationships that I was blessed to form at Covenant shaped my entire experience. My learning was strengthened, stretched, and challenged through these relationships. I saw people around me growing and leading. I also saw people hurting and desiring support. I saw the Lord's faithfulness to supply joy through pain, refuge in fear, and encouragement in success.
Academically, I began thinking about the way that I think, and was shown clearly how my faith shapes every facet of my life. I studied elementary education, pursuing the love and responsibility of helping shape little ones in the wonder of God's world. My eyes were opened to new ideas, and I developed deeper critical thinking skills that gave me a desire for continual learning.
I cannot simply state the benefits of Covenant College; the impact goes far deeper, and wider than "perks." Covenant is a place where members of Christ's body learn more fully what "glorifying God and enjoying him forever" really means. We see it lived in our professors and in our fellow students. I look at the world in such a different light than I did before the roots of Covenant dug into my life. I face history, philosophy, literature, health, teaching, and everyday living - fighting to hold Christ supreme as He holds each piece together as creator and sustainer of all things.
I am glad to work now as an admissions representative with students from Georgia
and South Carolina. If you are
seeking a school right now, pray that the Lord will guide you - He knows where
you are supposed to be. Do not depend on
your timing but on His. I will be so happy to assist you in any way I can.
