Greetings! My name is David Gambrell, and I am an admissions representative here at Covenant College. I graduated from Covenant in May 2006 with a degree in psychology.

I work with most male athletes and any student from the St. Louis area and the state of Florida. I am excited about working in admissions at Covenant because of the impact this school has had on my life. When I began my search for a college, I was originally unsure about attending a school outside of my home state of South Carolina. Nevertheless, God began opening doors at Covenant, including the opportunity to play soccer here. After a few months of prayer and consideration I chose Covenant and arrived as a nervous freshman in the fall of 2002. In my quest for the right college I was looking for a place that took Christ seriously while providing a strong education; having a great soccer team was an added bonus. I found that Covenant College had that balance of a strong Christian commitment and rigorous academics.

My experiences here at Covenant have been life-shaping in the best way possible. One major part of this has been playing soccer for the Scots. Through soccer I have built relationships that have challenged me and provided opportunities for me to challenge others. Another amazing experience has been my time as a Resident Advisor for my hall. As an RA I had the opportunity to see students loving, teaching, and encouraging one another as they lived life together. I have seen amazing things happen on the residence halls at Covenant College! Through all of these experiences I have grown to love Covenant, so much so that I took a job here!

I would love to talk to you more about Covenant, answer any questions you may have, or help you with any part of the application process. I look forward to working with you as you make your college decision.
