Major at Covenant:
Biology with a Chemistry minor
Most influential experience at Covenant:
I was blessed to be placed on a hall of women my freshman year with whom I developed deep, lasting, Godly friendships. The camaraderie and accountability that provided was like nothing I’d ever experienced before and it grew and stretched me in ways that I needed and am so thankful for.
Why I chose Covenant:
When I drove up to Carter Circle for Preview weekend and saw how beautiful it was on campus, it was hard for any other school to win back my affections. However, ultimately I chose Covenant because of their commitment to living out their mission in all aspects of the college experience. From the coaches I talked with, and the classes I attended, to the experiences in the residence halls with current students, I was greatly encouraged at the preeminence of Christ and His Gospel at Covenant and wanted to be a part of a body that valued that above all else.
Hometown:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Co-curricular activities during college:
Varsity Women’s Golf, Maclellan Scholars Program, Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society Vice President, Student Athletic Advisory Committee Secretary, RUF, Any and every Intramural Sport
Most-influential class at Covenant:
Microbiology with Dr. Morris gave me a deeper appreciation for God’s thoughtful and magnificent creation coupled with a renewed awe of His sustaining grace. The opportunity to discover some of the complexities of the world around me through a biblical frame of reference is something that has been highly influential in my thinking.
Favorite quote:
“God blesses his people with extravagant grace so they might extend his extravagant glory to all peoples on the earth.” -David Platt
Favorite Covenant College event:
Homecoming is a great time to come together as a community and celebrate God’s faithfulness to us as a college, and there are many fantastic events to attend throughout the weekend.
