SCOTS' DAN NIELSON NAMED AAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Covenant College senior guard Dan Nielson of Lookout Mountain, GA, was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week on February 4 for his performance in the Scots' two wins in the previous week.

 

In wins over Tennessee Temple University and Union College, Nielson averaged 23 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3 assists. He sank 7 three-pointers and shot 17-20 from the stripe. He scored a game-high 25 points in the Scots' win over Tennessee Temple.

 

The Scots are 7-16 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
