2018 Scots Trot 5K
Covenant College is pleased to host the annual Scots Trot 5k on April 14, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. The 5k is open to the public and set atop beautiful Lookout Mountain, GA, featuring some of Covenant’s well-loved running trails.
“This race is a great chance for our students, faculty, and staff to participate in a 5k on campus on our beautiful trails, and also a chance for others in the community to see our campus and our trails and enjoy a fun event,” said race director Katie Stanford. “We keep the race simple and want all students to have the opportunity to participate. That is why we offer students free entry and a small fee if they want a shirt. We also offer much lower entry fees for other participants as well. Our main purpose of this race is to provide students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others from the community a fun way to exercise along with some friendly competition.”
The 3.1-mile course will begin in the parking lot of Shadowlands and will be an out-and-back on trails, broken up with a loop in the middle. It will finish in the Shadowlands athletic field. There will be water provided in the middle of the course and at the finish line.
Parking is available in the Shadowlands and baseball field lots.
