Players on Covenant College's young baseball and softball teams were the recipients of post-season awards by the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

 

The men's baseball team was named Champions of Character by the baseball coaches in the conference.

 

Nearly a dozen Scots baseball players were named to the 2008 AAC All-Academic Team:

• Caleb Abney '11 of Kennesaw, GA
• Cody Baxter '10 of Acworth, GA
• Colby Duckett '09 of Dalton, GA
• Ben Loderhose '10 of Cape Coral, FL
• Blaine Newton '09 of Hurdle Mills, NC
• Thomas O'Ban '10 of Tacoma, WA
• Ben Oliver '10 of Dalton, GA
• Micah Reynolds '11 of New Market, TN
• John Rogers '10 of Gadsden, AL
• John Whitehead '09 of Jackson, TN
• Craig Worland '10 of Chickamauga, GA

Two Lady Scots softball players were named to the 2008 AAC All-Conference Team:

• Lindsey Phillips '09 of New London, NC - outfielder
• Laura Moore '09 of Trenton, GA - pitcher

In addition, Lindsey Phillips earned a spot on the 2008 AAC All-Academic Team.
