Covenant College Night at the Lookouts

Halvorson pitch

Hundreds of Scots and Scots fans gathered for Covenant College night at the Chattanooga Lookouts on August 25, 2012. The group enjoyed a pre-game party at AT&T Field before cheering on the Chattanooga Lookouts, who defeated the Jackson Generals 8-5. College President Derek Halvorson threw the first pitch, and Shelby Knapke '13 sang the national anthem.

“The Lookouts game was a great chance to get together with fellow alumni from the area,” says Ed Sunder ’92. “The weather was not too warm and my wife and I enjoyed spending time with our friends while our kids had a great time watching a fun game. The base-clearing triple was especially exciting.

“Though Derek's pitch would not have been called a strike if judged by a strict standard,” Ed recalls, “he gets extra points for his athletic and creative wind-up. A great evening was had by all.”
