U.S. News Ranks Covenant #11 in the South
In its 2014 edition of Best Colleges, U.S. News & World Report has again ranked Covenant among the top regional colleges of the South. Ranked at number 11, the Best Colleges data revealed that Covenant holds the second-highest freshman retention rate and the highest average SAT/ACT scores among ranked colleges of the South.
“This ranking recognizes that the profile of our students is well-rounded and robust—representing not only strong academic competencies but also showing ownership and enthusiasm for the type of community we aim to be,” said Matthew Bryant, chief enrollment officer at Covenant. “A strong retention shows seamless collaboration between those offices on campus responsible for our enrollment goals—it is a reflection of the hard work of all on our campus!”
Covenant was also recognized as a Best Value School, coming in at number nine for affordable schools in the South. U.S News rankings are based on a two-pronged approach: compiling quantitative data and researching the more intangible question of “what matters in education.” While the metrics of U.S. News rankings change from year to year, Covenant has consistently maintained its place as a top college of the South.
