Theatre: As You Like It

Covenant’s theatre & film studies department presents five performances of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, directed by theatre professor Deborah Kirby. The play opens November 14, 2012.

“I have an amazing cast,” says Professor Kirby. “We have the unique opportunity of putting on this production with just nine actors, so almost everyone will be doing multiple parts. Each of the actors is putting in the time needed to pull this production off and for that I will be eternally grateful!”

One of Shakespeare’s comedies, As You Like It is a tale of love in various forms, set against a subplot of injustice.

“I am hoping that audiences will be surprised and delighted at the artistic risk we are taking,” says Professor Kirby. “Libby Fenn ’08 is making original costumes for the show, and we have another stunning set designed by Professor Claire Slavovsky.”

The show begins in the Sanderson Hall auditorium at 8:00 p.m. on November 14,15,16, and 17, with an additional show at 2:00 p.m. on November 17. Click here to reserve your tickets
