Dr. Stephen Holmes to Give Reformation Day Lectures
Covenant College is pleased to announce
that Dr. Stephen Holmes, senior lecturer in systematic theology at the
University of St Andrews in Scotland, will give the Reformation Day Lectures
October 26-27, 2009. The theme of this year's lectures is "Chosen for Holiness:
The Spirituality of Calvinism."

Dr. Holmes teaches in the areas of historical and systematic theology and
homiletics at the University of St Andrews, and has published numerous books
and articles at both an academic and a popular level. He is particularly
interested in the theological commitments of evangelical Christianity, in
Baptist theology, English Puritanism, and the doctrine of the Trinity.
Among other positions, Holmes is editor of the International Journal of Systematic Theology and chair of the Theology and Public Policy Advisory Commission of the Evangelical Alliance UK. Before joining the faculty of the University of St Andrews in 2005, Holmes was lecturer of Christian doctrine at King's College, London.
