Global Gospel Advancement Week 2017

Covenant College’s annual Global Gospel Advancement Week will take place November 6-10, 2017. Matt Allison, Rev. Wy Plummer, and Rev. Aaron Tolson are our guest speakers.

After graduating from Covenant College, Matt Allison served with Serge in Bundibugyo, Uganda, where he saw the love that God has for the poor and marginalized. Upon returning to the States, he pursued graduate studies at Notre Dame and the University of Rochester. Feeling God’s calling, Allison re-joined the staff of Serge in 2012, where he began to lead the mission’s mobilization effort, now serving as the human development director. He and his wife, Rachel, live in West Philadelphia.

Rev. Wy Plummer is the African American Ministries Coordinator for the PCA, as well as a part-time pastor at New City Fellowship in Chattanooga, TN. He and his wife, Shirley, have been part of the PCA since 1982, and he was ordained as a teaching elder in the PCA in 1995. Rev. Plummer received his undergraduate degree from Howard University and graduate degrees from both Johns Hopkins University and Chesapeake Reformed Theological Seminary.

Rev. Aaron Tolson ’97 earned his BA in sociology from Covenant College and his MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary. After graduation, Rev. Tolson served as a youth pastor in Jacksonville and St. Louis before coming to Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church in 2005, where he is now the assistant pastor of high school ministry. He is married to Lisa, and they have four children.
