Favorite place on campus
The Great Hall is an absolutely fantastic place! I love being there and seeing people from all over campus as we sit and eat together. However, there are all sorts of great places on Covenant's campus to hang out. There are a lot of awesome people all over campus, so there are all sorts of places and opportunities to meet amazing people and have fantastic conversations.

Honors received at Covenant
The Genesis 1:28 Scholarship

Why did you choose Covenant?
During my senior year of high school, I did not think I would come to Covenant. Then I came to Scholarship Weekend. After staying for a few additional days on Second South, my attitude toward the College completely changed. The sense of community and fun along with the obvious passion for Christ in many of the students made me want to come to the campus in a way that nothing else could have--better than anything that any admissions department could possibly provide.

How is Covenant unique?
The experience of going to college is not only about getting an education--during the college years, a person develops emotionally, personally, and spiritually just as much as they do academically. Covenant is a place where all of these things can happen without conflicting with each other. Yes, the academics are fantastic. But more importantly, we have an environment where our academic pursuits are inseparable from our spiritual growth. Every day that I have gone to Covenant I have been challenged and encouraged to pursue Christ more fervently and authentically. That is something that I dearly need at this point in my walk with Christ, and I am thankful that Covenant has been so nurturing for me.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
Probably when my hall had our "first annual charity golf tournament," where we dressed up in funny costumes and took dates to play mini golf. We each donated a few dollars to a charity.

What is your favorite class?
I have absolutely loved the introductory economics classes that I have taken. Dr. Lance Wescher and Dr. Brian Fikkert are both absolutely incredible. Studying the workings of the economy is fascinating, and learning about the Christian perspective from these men makes it even more enjoyable and engaging.

What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you?
The guys on my hall have been incredible; challenging and encouraging me to grow as a person and as a Christian. The impact the people that you surround yourself with at college is incredible, and I am thankful there are so many great people that I have been able to grow with.

What's your favorite part of the day?
One of the best parts of my day comes when I go to the Great Hall with some guys from my hall. We have a great time eating dinner and talking with each other.

What are your post-graduation plans?
Honestly, I am not sure. I am going wherever God takes me. Some things that have occurred to me include getting involved in the corporate or investment sector, doing developmental ministry, or going to law school and becoming a public servant.

How do you think Covenant is preparing you for the future?

Covenant has equipped me to engage any way of thinking in light of my faith in the grace and work of Christ. I am confident that I am being prepared to enter the world as an aware and educated Christian, pursuing God's will through whatever manner He sees fit.
