Class Year
2011

Hometown
Savannah, Georgia

Major

Minor

Concentration
Finance

Activities
Intramural sports, cards (spades), driving anywhere, reading, baseball, hall shenanigans, and simply enjoying the company of anyone who drops in.

Favorite place on campus
Definitely my suite. My four roommates and I have a sleep/study/fun setup with the "fun" room having a couple of couches. The door is almost always open and people come in and out freely; it's a great place to hang out and enjoy one another's company.

Why did you choose Covenant?
I chose Covenant because it was my "ticket" out of Savannah - nothing against Savannah, I was just ready to fly the coop. I had plans to transfer out after one year, but, within a few weeks of being on campus, I fell in love and decided to stay for as long as possible.

How is Covenant unique?
Covenant's small campus and student body really facilitates a more unified and communal feel to the college itself. The professors are also very personal, especially when compared with my previous experience at another university.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
I truly don't believe there is anything like living in a dorm with like-minded believers. Living in this community has been an incredible experience. The day-to-day fellowship that takes place is always a blessing.

What is your favorite class?
I've had a lot of "favorite" classes, but if I had to choose one, I would probably say Principles of Microeconomics. The class is a discussion-based class that focuses on firms and households within the scope of economics. Dr. Wescher does an excellent job of tying together economics with current events within a biblical perspective. The discussions in the class were great learning experiences and very challenging, both academically and spiritually.

What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you?
Ben Loderhose. He was my RA for the past two years and my suitemate for one. Loho has continually exemplified a diligence in his walk with the Lord and has done a lot to challenge my own spiritual walk through insights that he gained through his own personal walk and through the learning experience of Covenant's biblical studies program.

What's your favorite part of the day?
Definitely evenings after ten. People usually begin arriving back on the hall and simply hang out, goof off, etc.

How do you think Covenant is preparing you for the future?

I love the Christian liberal arts aspect of Covenant. I believe it is grounding me in a firm Christian foundation and equipping me with a broad set of tools to be able to use in various situations in the future.
