Favorite place on campus
There is a spot between the chapel and Carter circle that I just love, especially at night. There are a lot of trees, but if I stand in just the right place I can see Chattanooga through the trees.
What is life like at Covenant?
The Christian focus has definitely helped me grow spiritually. I have made a lot of really close friends, experienced a lot of new things, and had my mind opened. I like how caring the professors are – they are concerned about my life outside of their classes.
What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
Getting to know all the girls on my hall has definitely been the best part. We are all very different, but we are all close and we’ve had a lot of fun together.
What is your favorite class?
My favorite class so far has been Intro to Teaching because I learned many different ways I can use my gifts in teaching in the future.
What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you, and why?
A lot of people have impacted me in different ways, but I would have to say that Dr. Beckman has impacted me the most. He talks about teaching with a passion that I want to have, and he is actively interested in students, even those who aren’t in his class.
How do you think Covenant is preparing you for the future?
I have a desire to grow more in my identity in Christ, and both good and bad things that happen here are showing me how to deal with life in a responsible, Christ-like way.
