Why did you choose Covenant?
I want an engineering degree, but coming to Covenant allows me to get both a liberal arts education and a degree in engineering. I think that a liberal arts degree will be valuable when I’m marketing myself to potential employers.

How is Covenant unique?
The community here is amazing. I have never before experienced the kind of Christian friendships that I have found at Covenant. It has been good for me to be in the presence of so many people with a lot of different opinions but with a love of God in common.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
I have two. The first is a pillowfight my freshman year that involved all of my hall and all of the guys' halls in my building storming Andreas with the intent of annexing the place. The pillowfight lasted a long time and we eventually attacked every residence hall on campus that night, culminating in two showdowns on the chapel lawn. The second is recent: a simple Sunday afternoon spent in Coolidge Park with all of my best friends, playing ultimate frisbee, vollyball, and talking.

What is your favorite class, and why?
Organic Chemistry, without a doubt. I worked very hard for that class. The instructor loved the material and I could tell he enjoyed teaching it and making it fun for the students as well. It is certainly the hardest, most rewarding course I’ve taken thus far.

What’s your favorite part of the day at Covenant?
I like Saturday mornings. I enjoy getting up early and enjoying a quiet morning with few responsibilities other than to take a walk and get pancakes at a nearby professor’s house.

How is Covenant equipping you for the future?
Covenant has given me a good framework for thinking about the world. The knowledge I’ve gained from Covenant has let me grow in wisdom as well; this has been apparent to me in my work outside of school. The sciences I’ve taken here have also been a catalyst for the growth of a better work ethic in me.
