Why did you choose Covenant?
My two older brothers attended Covenant, and I instantly fell in love when I came to visit them. I would choose to come to Covenant over Disney World during fall break.

How is Covenant unique?
Covenant genuinely makes Christ’s preeminence a priority. It creates an environment that helps spiritual growth thrive. Professors and classes are Christ-centered, you attend chapel three times a week, and other students are there to challenge your faith as well. This positive challenge is carried out by seeing others example of faith and trying to saturate myself more deeply in the word.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
Kilter has been my favorite event so far. I did not even know who my date was when she asked me, and now we are good friends. It is a great and fun way to get to meet new people at the start of the year.

What is your favorite class, and why?
J'adore la classe de français avec le professeur Shaw. It was fun to start our butchering pronunciations of French words, and it is awesome to see the progress I have made under Professor Shaw’s teaching. He dove right in on the first day of class and spoke more French than I had ever heard my whole life. It pushes you to think and strive to understand, though, of course, if you have no idea what he just said, he will tell you in English.

What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you, and why?
Nathan Newman ’11 has had the largest impact on my time at Covenant. It does help that he is my older brother, but his wisdom – having graduated from Covenant already himself – is helping me to push my time at Covenant to be as beneficial as possible.

What’s your favorite part of the day at Covenant?
I love coming back to the hall after a day of classes and studying to unwind on the new couch and play a quick round of Mario Kart with the guys. Then I, of course, return to my studies.

What are your post-graduation plans?
If the Lord allows it, I would love to be a director of missions/ministry for a church and equip people to do effective relational community development.

How is Covenant equipping you for the future?
Covenant recognizes that faith should be a part of all fields of study. The professors do a great job teaching you the material you need to know to succeed and fulfill your Christian duty of glorifying God in that field.
