Why did you choose Covenant?
Covenant is part of my family history. My grandfather worked here, and my mother and uncles graduated from here. I have wanted to go here my entire life.

How is Covenant unique?
After going to community college for a while, I was amazed at how different Covenant was from my previous college experience. The professors here truly care about you. They remember your name, always make time to speak with students, let you borrow personal belongings, and, what most touched me, pray for you by name. They know you personally, not just by your grade. The students here are warm and friendly, and build each other up as brothers and sisters in Christ. In addition, the academics here are much more challenging than what I have experienced elsewhere, which has been a very welcome change.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
There have been too many to count. There are always fun events going on, such as game nights or concerts. One of the most memorable was a praise and worship event called "Not to Us." It was a wonderful evening of worship and drawing closer to God. I also love going to chapel. Chaplain Messner is a great preacher, and I’ve learned a lot from him, as well as amazing guest speakers too.

What is your favorite class?
For me, it is a tie between Old Testament with Dr. Ward and Modern Russia with Dr. Follett. They have both been wonderful classes. Dr. Ward is such an encouraging professor, and I always leave his class feeling refreshed, loved, and excited to live for the Lord. Dr. Follett is a great professor too. His classes are filled with fascinating information. They are very challenging, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world!

What’s your favorite part of the day at Covenant?
I would say in the afternoon, around 4. By then, most people are done with classes, and everyone is more relaxed and happy. It’s a great time to pour a cup of tea, and study a bit before dinner time.

What are your post-graduation plans?
I’m not sure yet. I would love to go to graduate school and get a master’s degree in library science. Then I hope to find a job in a library, museum, or in archives. I also hope I get to travel and use my French.

How is Covenant equipping you for the future?
Covenant is definitely preparing me for a career in history through the various academic programs available. However, above that, I am learning how to put Christ first in everything, and I look forward to carrying that into any calling I may enter over the course of my life.
