Favorite place on campus
Brock Hall. A majority of my classes are in Brock, and when I leave a class, I get the best view of the mountain. It's also a great place to talk to other students about classes, and be able to have great conversations.
Honors received at Covenant
Community Development Scholarship
Why did you choose Covenant?
I was attracted to the solid Covenant community. The friendships between the students and the faculty are real. The professors are not just teachers; they are mentors.
How is Covenant unique?
Covenant has perfectly blended the Christian faith with the liberal arts education. It is dedicated to providing an education that will prepare you not only for a job, but for life as well.
What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
The Day of Prayer that we have once a semester is the best. My hall begins the day by waking up and praying in Carter tower. The sun slowly comes through the windows and I get to rise up from prayer engulfed in God's creation.
What is your favorite class?
Theory of Community Development with Dr. Fikkert and Professor Corbett. That class opened my eyes to so many truths about our culture, and how I could better connect with people.
What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you?
Professor Corbett has been more of a mentor than a teacher. His classes are more like life lessons than classes. He is very truthful about what I will face when I begin my profession. I know that I will be able to count on him as an advisor and confidant when I begin working in the field.
What's your favorite part of the day?
The sunrise as I walk to class every morning. When I'm tired and not wanting to wake up, I know that I will get to see a beautiful scene walking to my classes.
What are your post-graduation plans?
Begin working for a non-profit organization, maybe Habitat for Humanity.
