Dean’s List Fall 2011 and Spring 2012, all freshman team for the GSAC baseball conference.

Why did you choose Covenant?
To have a Christian education and to get to compete on the baseball field at the collegiate level with Christ-centered coaching and teammates.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
Getting to know tons of awesome people and playing baseball for the Covenant Scots!

How has being homeschooled before coming to Covenant shaped your experience here?
My parents homeschooled me because they wanted me to see God in everything I studied, to understand his purpose in my life, and to equip me to take this faith into the world. It was an easy transition for me to come into the Covenant College community which has similar goals. I was used to budgeting my time and working hard, and felt prepared for college.

What are some of the benefits of coming to Covenant as a homeschooler?
Covenant College has many students brought up in Christian education, and homeschooling is not new to them. It is well accepted and understood around Covenant. Covenant is an extension of what I have grown up learning at home. It is a place where we encourage one another to live out what we learn, just as my family has done.

What is your favorite class, and why?
“Personal Finance” with Dr. Jones. The class offered a relaxed and fun environment. It was a comfortable learning environment, and we got candy if we were one of the five best students each class! Can’t beat that.

What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you, and why?
Will Cleland ’15. He is my roommate and also my teammate on the baseball team. He has been such a great friend and brother in Christ since the day I met him during freshman orientation. He has been an amazing influence on me, while being in several classes together and on the field.

What’s your favorite part of the day at Covenant?
I love afternoons – playing a sport or relaxing with friends outside. You’re done with the day and get to relax and do the things you have wanted to do.

What are your post-graduation plans?
I have no exact plans in mind yet, but just praying for God to lead me in whatever way he has for me.

How is Covenant equipping you for the future?
It has taught me many things since I’ve been here on how to prepare for post-college life: how to be the father and husband that God wants me to be, and how to integrate Christ into the everyday workplace.

The theatre department brought Arthur Giron's Edith Stein to the Covenant stage, under the direction of Prof. Camille Hallstrom.

William Wolfe ’10 shares the story of how his life fell apart and the powerful way God turned it around.
