Why did you choose Covenant?
I have lots of family connections to Covenant, and was not sure that I wanted to go where my father, brothers, and cousins went. When I was a senior in high school, I thought that I wanted to go to a bigger school with lots of my friends, but God made it clear to me that He wanted me at Covenant, and I am so glad that I listened to that call!

How is Covenant unique?
The halls are certainly unique. Student development works hard to make sure that students from each year are on each hall. This provides freshmen with relationships with upperclassmen, as well as reminding the older students of the excitement they felt when they were first here! Also, because Covenant is small, you are able to develop close relationships with the professors, and get the perspective of someone who is an expert in their field.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
The Film Club helps to host The Broad Street Film Festival every year with other local colleges. During my freshman year I was asked to present an award at the Tivoli and I loved being able to meet the other filmmakers and see all of the hard work that produced such great films. It was a really great event to be a part of!

What is your favorite class, and why?
My favorite class thus far has been Teaching in a Pluralistic Society with Dr. Haddad. It is one of the most demanding classes that I have ever taken and because of that, I learned so much. I gained a great appreciation for my future students and the diverse backgrounds that they come from.

What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you, and why?
Katherine Ford and MK Perkins are invaluable to me. We laugh together everyday and have so much fun! They encourage me to grow spiritually and always have great advice. They have been with me through highs and lows and I know that I can talk with them about anything.

What’s your favorite part of the day at Covenant?
Dinner is great, because everyone comes together after a long day and it is a great time to catch up with friends.

What are your post-graduation plans?
Whether public or private, I hope to teach upper elementary school children after graduation. I am also interested in possibly teaching abroad.

How is Covenant equipping you for the future?
Covenant is providing me with a Christ-centered education. At Covenant I have heard God’s calling for me to be a teacher, and Covenant is equipping me to be a teacher who shows Christ to her students. It is also giving me a broad, liberal arts education, so that I can go into the field of education with a better understating of the world.
