Favorite place on campus
I love my room! I have never lived in the mountains before, so watching birds fly below me from my 5th story windowseat on the tippy-top of a mountain is definitely a new experience. I love to watch the sunset at night and wake up with clouds all around in the morning.

Why did you choose Covenant?
I chose Covenant because I wanted to go to a Christian college where excellence is exemplified every day in all areas. I saw that excellence in Covenant’s academics, social life, and community. I also wanted to be at a place where my Reformed faith would be supported, challenged, and enriched through discussion with professors and other students. Covenant’s strong emphasis on spiritual accountability through community was very attractive to me.

What do you like about Covenant?
I like the food! Chartwells does a great job keeping us all fed, and their desserts are amazing. "Grown-up grilled cheese" from The Blink is a personal favorite too.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
Thursday night prayer meetings with other Maclellan scholars are the highlight of my week. Spending time with these brothers and sisters in prayer and song is great spiritual refreshment and an opportunity to spur each other on.

What is your favorite class?
Old Testament Prophets with Dr. Jones. Digging into the minor prophets has presented many interpretive challenges, but we have uncovered a lot of rich theology and history in the Old Testament.

How do you think Covenant is preparing you for the future?
My worldview is being shaped and expanded here, and I will leave this place with a much better understanding of the kingdom of Christ and the world.
