Favorite place on campus
The Overlook, because when the sky is clear at night, the stars shine really bright and the city lights are awesome too. I go there to have quiet time with God and rejuvenate myself.

Why did you choose Covenant?

Covenant was not my first choice for college. I wanted to go to some place sunny like Florida, and I had considered Belmont in Nashville. I actually can't say how Covenant ended up being the school for me other than it was all God. A lot was going on my senior year in high school and God totally made a way for me to go to Covenant. He chose Covenant, and I'm glad He did.

How is Covenant unique?
Covenant has faculty that really care about the students. The College is built around an awesome community.

What has been your favorite experience at Covenant?
God allowing me to see myself more like how he sees me and discovering more of who I am and what I believe.

What is your favorite class, and why?
African- American history because it shows how strength, like a diamond, emerges from vigorous amounts of negative pressure. It also shows how God can take something that was intended for evil and turn it into a movement of love.

What person at Covenant has had the greatest impact on you, and why?
I can’t just choose one person. It would have to be everyone that I have developed a relationship with. They have impacted me by their love for God and by how they believe that all of their success comes from God alone.

What’s your favorite part of the day at Covenant?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, because I love to eat. Also when the sun is setting behind the mountains. That never gets old!

What are your post-graduation plans?
Hopefully to have a career that allows me to travel out of the country. I also want to go to graduate school.

How is Covenant equipping you for the future?
Covenant has helped me find strength I didn’t know I had, preparing me to be a light in the world. As a freshman, I had a student employee position at Chartwells, the food service at Covenant, and a class load that I didn’t know how to handle. Now looking back, I am able to see that I had the strength in me all along. All I had to do was trust God and do my best. I was also faced with some personal issues during my freshman year that I can now look back on and see that God used them for good. They made me a stronger individual.
