The Cottages were originally built in the 1930s as a series of individual units. When the Johnson family bought the facility in the 1950s, they tore down most of the original cabins and built two rows of rooms facing the valley. The Johnsons' Scenic Courts remained a family-owned and family-operated business until it was sold to Covenant College in 1988.
The new “Lookout Inn” ran as an independent business for 16 years. Then, as the campus grew, the College recognized the Inn’s potential as guest housing. Covenant renovated the Inn, and in 2005 it reopened it as the Covenant College Guest Rooms and Cottages.
Covenant's Guest Rooms are located 0.4 miles past the main entrance of the College, a short 5-minute walk from Carter Hall and 2 minutes from Ashe Activity Center.
Each of our quaint cottages has its own distinctive flair and view. Choose from four different styles: queen bed, two double beds, king bed, or suite (one queen bed and two double beds). A hair dryer, iron, and ironing board are also available for guest use. Also available to you is our lobby, equipped with two mini-fridges, microwave, and a complimentary coffee and tea bar. Feel free to make use of the lobby and lobby deck during your stay!
The guest rooms are open for reservations through December 19, 2014.
Rachel Verville is our Advancement Service Coordinator. Rachel handles all of our reservations and payments. Her office is located in the Probasco Visitor Center.
