The TESOL Certificate at Covenant College

 

The Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) prepares students who desire to teach English to non-native English speakers. Students explore the fields of education, linguistics, English, and foreign languages to better understand how languages work and how to effectively teach a foreign or second language.

 

A TESOL certificate can lead to...

   Graduate school, further education, and research

   Practicum opportunities - recent alumni have worked with New City Fellowship, Brainerd Baptist Church, ELIC, and the Chattanooga Public Library

   Employment opportunities in teaching or missions
