I most enjoy helping students gain a global perspective for their field of interest and thinking through the scriptures from the standpoint of different cultures. I have a passion for speaking Spanish, interacting with Hispanics, and visiting Hispanic countries. I teach the beginning levels of Spanish, where we navigate what the Bible says about language, discuss who our neighbors are, and get excited about the skills gained in speaking a new language. I have 6 years of experience teaching high school and 4 years of teaching at the collegiate level. I love working with college students because it is such a pivotal time in discovering who they are in Christ and their role in His Kingdom.
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my adorable dog and traveling or thrift shopping with my husband. When I’m indoors, I’m eating cookie dough and watching Friends reruns.God did not bless me with a beautiful voice like my husband, but I love listening to live music and dancing. Baby girl Saunds is on the way! We look forward to meeting her this fall.
