the Covenant experience narrative

The Blue Tribune is your place to learn about all things Covenant and keep up with stories from campus and beyond. By guiding you through the different aspects of Covenant, we'll help you decide if you want to pursue your very own Covenant experience.

Tuesday Talks: Women Exploring Theology Together

At 11am on Tuesdays, you can find dozens of Covenant women gathered for what is known as Tuesday Talks. Gathering around delicious snacks and coffee, girls from across campus kick their feet back and find a place of rest in the middle of their busy schedules.

Tuesday Talks - hosted by Stephanie Formenti from the Chapel Department and one of our resident directors, Hannah Bloomquist - are discussion-based meetings where practical issues are addressed from a theological lens. Students are encouraged to ask questions and promote a healthy dialogue on subjects that can be difficult to talk about. By bringing in guest speakers and engaging in group discussions about topics ranging from sexuality to friendship, these talks create an environment where women can grow in Christ’s likeness together.

A Place to be Deeply Known

Tuesday Talks provide a space for women to form deep connections, and this is what makes the discussions feel somewhat like a family gathering. They are a place where women strive to love one another well and where students feel free to share about their individual struggles.

Whether female students are looking for a biblical community to share their thoughts or simply hoping to learn more about a given topic, Tuesday Talks provide a space for them to learn and grow.
