Dr. William Struthers to Present WIC Lecture Series
Dr. William Struthers, professor of psychology at Wheaton College, will present this year’s Women in the Church (WIC) Lecture Series at Covenant College on February 11-13, 2016. Struthers’ lecture series is entitled, “Sexuality and the Brain: Christian Faithfulness in the New Millennium.”
After earning a BA in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University, Struthers went on to earn an MA and a PhD in biopsychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research interests center on the neural mechanisms that underlie behavioral arousal and the processing of novel environments. He is a contributor to and author of several books, including Wired for Intimacy: How Pornography Hijacks the Male Brain. He has served as a professor at Wheaton College since 1999.
All WIC lectures are free and open to the public, including evening class lectures. The lecture series is made possible by the generous support of the Women’s Ministries in the Church, formerly known as Women in the Church, of the Presbyterian Church in America.
