Move-In Day for the Class of 2012

On August 22, 2008, Covenant College welcomed new students from all over the country - California to Maryland, Florida to Washington - and even from as far away as Ireland, Mexico, and Thailand.

The Class of 2012 arrived eager to begin their Covenant experience.

Residence life staff, Orientation Team members, faculty, and staff greeted new students and their families as they arrived on campus to move in. The college volunteers quickly unloaded luggage and delivered it to the students' new homes in Andreas Hall, Carter Hall, Founders Hall, and Maclellan & Rymer Hall.

"We see Move-in Day as a tangible opportunity to serve and warmly welcome students into our community by moving them into their new residences," said Dean of Students Brad Voyles.

"New Student Orientation is a weeklong event that serves to introduce students to their new community through social and academic programs and to inform them about the resources available for their adjustment, support, and involvement. It's one of the most exciting weeks of the year."

New Student Orientation, known as LAUNCH'08, begins with Move-In Day and continues through the following week. Fall semester classes begin on Thursday, August 28, the same day Covenant holds its annual formal convocation ceremony.
