Dr. Jeff Humphries Promoted to Professor of Computer Science
Dr. Jeff Humphries has been promoted from associate professor to professor of computer science at Covenant College.
Humphries joined Covenant’s faculty in 2012, and has helped grow and strengthen the College’s computer science program since that time. Before coming to Covenant, Humphries served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. During his tenure in the Air Force he served at the Air Force Information Warfare Center, on faculty at the Air Force Academy, and as cyber-security curriculum chair at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
Humphries has used his background in cyber security to develop a cyber-security concentration for the computer science major at Covenant.
“Since Dr. Humphries has joined the faculty at Covenant College, the computer science program has broadened to include cyber security,” said Dr. Jeff Hall, vice president for academic affairs. “The current program with Drs. Humphries and Hunt is of the highest caliber. In addition to supporting a fine program, Dr. Humphries' graduate degree in theology, natural curiosity, and dedication to his students embody the best of the College mission.”
