"Celebrate Christmas" with the Covenant College Music Department

Come experience the joy of Christmas at Covenant College’s annual concert celebration on Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7. Free reservations for concert seats are available using this form, and VIP parking will be available for purchase upon arrival.

The Celebrate Christmas concert at Covenant is the result of collaboration throughout the entire music department and represents the work of students and faculty alike. Professors Scott Finch ’96, Lok Kim, Jim Ward ’72, Kara Funke, and Cindy Wallis will direct ensembles during the performance.

The concert will feature a wide range of musical talent including the Jazz Ensemble, Covenant Singers, Chamber Singers, Flute Choir, Brass Ensemble, Covenant Chorale, and Chamber Orchestra, with Jane Metcalfe ’19 as our featured organist.

The concert will center on the theme “My Soul Rests in God Alone,” which calls attention to the appropriate response of reflecting on Christ’s first advent in a posture of rest and praise. We cannot be silent because God has provided us with a peace that our world unknowingly craves.

We hope that you will join us in praise of our King!

Doors for the concerts will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. Please join us in the Great Hall afterward for “Cocoa, Carols, and Cookies” where flutes, brass, and the Chamber Singers will be featured.
