Chamber Orchestra Concert
The Covenant College music department will present the chamber orchestra’s autumn concert on Thursday, November 19, at 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Lok Kim, assistant professor of music.
In addition to music from Covenant's chamber orchestra, the concert will feature Covenant’s brass ensemble and the Chattanooga Clarinet Choir Quartet. The autumn concert will include pieces from Paul Dukas, Gabriel Fauré, Ludwig van Beethoven, and more.
"All pieces performed by the chamber orchestra are related to opera music in the Romantic era," says Kim. "People, whether classical music lovers or not, may recognize some of the themes from the pieces. The concert will bring us joyful moments of music. There are also some special appearances by our brass ensemble and the Chattanooga Clarinet Choir Quartet."
The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Dora Maclellan Brown Memorial Chapel and is free and open to the public.
