The Center for Calling & Career was established to provide comprehensive career services to Covenant College students and alumni as they identify and boldly pursue their callings. This is done by:
- · Exploring individual values, interests, and abilities within the context of a biblical framework while in college; and
- · Pursuing meaningful post-college callings that most effectively utilize God-given motivated abilities for God.
The Christian’s spiritual journey is a process that involves knowing Christ intimately and acknowledging His right to hold the place in his or her personal life that He holds in the universe: the place of preeminence. Identifying and pursuing career development is one essential part of that journey. If, by God’s grace, we are committed to living out the sovereignty of God in our lives each day, if we acknowledge our absolute dependence on God, and if we are determined to be obedient to Him, then he promises to make our pathways straight (Proverbs 3:5, 6).
That guidance extends to vocational pathways, and the Center for Calling & Career exists to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge to faithfully seek out relevant vocational experiences during college and into specific careers afterward.
