The reason I chose Covenant over all the other schools I applied to is because of the student body and how much their faith informs all they do. As I sat in chapel for my sneakPEAK, I was able to tangibly experience the joy that was in the air. I would highly recommend visiting during SneakPEAK because not only will you get special opportunities meant just for you, but the Covenant students and faculty will be so excited to meet you and encourage you in your college search—wherever that leads you.

Overnight Program

As a Residential College, we care deeply about the formation that happens on our halls. Living in community is a big part of being a Scot. We welcome prospective students to experience this community through our Overnight Program.

How does it work?

After you register for an eligible event and select that you want to spend the night in the Residence Hall, our team will pair you with a current Covenant student who will host you overnight in their room.

In the week leading up to the event your student host will text you and introduce themselves. Please make sure we have your updated contact information on file!

Eligibility:

  • You must be at least 16 years of age
  • You must be registered for a multiday sneakPEAK, Scholarship Weekend or Admitted Students Day
  • You must agree to abide by Covenant College standards of student behavior

Key things to know before your overnight stay:

  • Depending on the size of your host’s room, there might be multiple prospective students staying in the same room
  • These are real student rooms and not a hotel so you will need to bring your own air mattress, bedding, towels & toiletries. Occasionally your student host will have an extra mattress or couch you can sleep on, but this is not a guarantee
  • Your host is a student first and will need to attend class, study, and fulfill other campus commitments so they won't be able to hang out with you the whole time you're on campus. Your time will mostly be filled by the Admissions event, but you may have some downtime on your own, which gives you the opportunity to meet other prospective students who are also visiting campus.

FAQs

Yes! When you fill out the registration form, you can provide the name of the current student you would like to host you. We will do our best to accommodate your host request, but cannot guarantee your request will be possible.

While you are not obligated to spend the night, we recommend an overnight stay to get the full experience of residential life and connect with current students, especially for high school seniors. If you don’t want to spend the night in a residence hall, you can still attend our multiday events. Please make sure to make arrangements for your lodging.

sneakPEAK FAQs

Programming

Our Single Day sneakPEAKs are a good first glance for juniors and sophomores who are just starting their college search. Our Fall sneakPEAKs are designed specifically with seniors in mind and offer a more robust campus visit experience with an optional overnight stay.

Parents are invited to attend most of the sessions with you. We do have a couple of sessions designated just for students and just for parents. Please refer to our example event schedule.

Yes! You will be able to interact with professors during our Academic Fair. If there is a specific professor you would like to connect with, you must reach out to them individually to see if they are available to meet.

Yes! You will be interacting with our student ambassadors during the whole of sneakPEAK and you will interact with other students during chapel and the Academic Fair.

Students interested in playing varsity athletics at Covenant are invited to eat lunch with the coaches. For more information on Covenant athletics, please visit our athletic website.

Chapel is a foundational part of our student community and campus culture. We are excited for you to experience it!

Registration

Registration for each event will close two weeks prior to the event. Registration may close sooner if the event reaches capacity. We recommend registering early.

Absolutely! You are welcome to register up to two parents or guardians. Please make sure you give us the number and names of guests when you register.

We offer transportation to and from the Chattanooga airport if you are flying alone without a parent. Please indicate if you need shuttle service in your event registration, and we will send you the airport transport form.

Great! Every student needs to be registered individually for sneakPEAK. Please indicate the name of your group organization, name of your group chaperone and your group chaperone’s email.

Our daily campus visits are offered most days of the academic year, and if you desire an overnight experience, we can facilitate those Mondays through Thursdays when students are on campus.

Freshmen and sophomores are welcome to attend our spring sneakPEAKs! The spring events are a great opportunity for those at the beginning of their college search.
