Computer Labs

General Usage Lab

Mills Hall, Room 150

The Mills 150 Lab uses Microsoft Windows 10 to run thirty-six Dell 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10700 (8-Core, 16MB Cache, 2.9GHz to 4.8GHz, 65W) PCs. All are equipped with 8 GB of RAM, 1 TB hard drives, DVD+/- RW drives, and 17 inch flat-panel monitors. An additional computer is set up to allow an instructor to give presentations and demonstrations through an attached video projector and audio system.
An HP Laserjet P3015DN provides laser printing for the lab and a Brother HL-4070CDW series color printer provides color laser printing. The HP Laserjet has the option to duplex your printing (printing on both sides of the paper).

 

Printing Stations

A Dell Quad Core, 3.4 GHz, 65W PC running Windows 10 with 8 GB of RAM, a 500 GB hard drive, a DVD/CD-RW drive, and a 17 inch flat-panel monitor is available at each of the following locations. These machines are available to students 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Departmental Labs

Art Lab, Jackson Hall, Room 114

The Art Lab in JH114 contains twelve Apple iMac 27 Retina 5K, 3.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor computers running macOS Mojave. All are equipped with 16 GB RAM and a 2TB fusion hard drive. This lab is available to Art students during its open hours.

Room 114 has a Canon ImagePROGRAF iPF6400s printer available for students.

 

Art Lab, Jackson Hall, Room 117

The Art Lab in JH117 contains twelve Apple iMac 27 inch Retina 5K, 3 GHz 6-core Intel Core i5 processor computers running macOS Mojave.  All are equipped with 16 GB RAM and 1TB fusion hard drive. This lab is available to Art students during its open hours. 

The lab utilizes an HP Color LaserJet capable of 11x17 inch printing and an Epson Expression 10000XL large format scanner.

 

Education Department iPad lab, Brock Hall 313

The Education Department has a mobile iPad cart comprised of twenty 16 GB iPads and an AppleTV which is connected to a 60” LG TV in BH313.

 

Foreign Language Lab, Brock Hall, Room 209

The Foreign Language Lab contains two Dell Quad Core, 3.40 GHz PCs running Windows 10. All are equipped with 8 GB RAM and DVD+/-RW drives. This lab is available to foreign language students during its open hours.

 

Music Lab, Dora Maclellan Brown Memorial Chapel, Room 22

The Music Lab contains three Dell Quad Core, 3.40 GHz PCs running Windows 10. All are equipped with 8 GB RAM and DVD+/-RW drives. The machines are connected to M-Audio Keystation 49ES Ignite MK2 keyboards. This lab is available to music students during its open hours.

 

Psychology Lab, Mills Hall, Room 212

The Psychology Lab contains eight Dell i7-6700 3.40GHz PCs running Windows 10. All are equipped with 8 GB RAM and DVD+/-RW drives. This lab is available to Psychology students during its open hours.

Instructions For Printing Via Mobile App:

Download the Printeron App
Go to Settings, tap Services, and add a new Service
Enter scotsprint.covenant.edu in the Server field
Check Default Service, and save the Service
In Settings, go to User Accounts
Add a new User Account.
In the Account and Password fields, enter the login information that you would usually use in Scotsprint from a desktop device
Set the account as the default service for "scotsprint.covenant.edu".
When your device is connected to the Covenant wireless network, you can print documents to any Scotsprint printer by selecting the "Enterprise" tab in the Select Printer dialog.
