Directory of Teacher Education Graduates
The purpose of the Teacher Education Program at Covenant College is to prepare competent and compassionate teachers who practice their profession according to biblical guidelines in diverse educational settings. Candidates develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to become teachers who model life-long learning and faithful service to God as change-agents in society.
Procedures
The teacher candidates listed below will graduate on May 4, 2024. Upon graduation, they will be eligible for teacher certification in the state of Georgia, as well as certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Prospective employers are welcome to contact individual teacher candidates for information on their availability.
The Covenant College Teacher Education Program is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). An electronic credential file is created in the spring for each candidate and is available to you upon request. Teacher Candidates with a Bachelors in Elementary Education (P-5)
Riley Amell
Riley would prefer to teach the first grade. She has experience working at a children’s summer camp. Riley plays soccer, and would enjoy the opportunity to coach it as well. Riley has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Anna Davis
Anna most enjoys working with preschool through third grade students. From fall 2020 through fall 2022, she worked as an elementary grades tutor with a local social service agency. Anna’s co-curricular interests include theatre, music, and soccer. Anna has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Allison (Allie) Jackson
Allie would prefer to teach preschool through first grade. She has experience giving swim lessons, as well as working for three summers at a children’s camp. Allie would enjoy coaching softball or basketball. Allie has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Karis McIntosh
Karis enjoys working with all the elementary grades. She has experience assisting with summer school STEM curriculum design and instruction. Karis plays basketball, and would enjoy coaching it or softball. Karis has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Lilly McKissick
Lilly would prefer to teach first or second grade. She has three years of experience working at a summer day camp. Her co-curricular interests include after-school tutoring. Lilly hopes to acquire ELL certification in the future.
Taylor Murdock
Taylor enjoys teaching kindergarten and second grade. Taylor has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Campbell Myers
Campbell would prefer to teach preschool or kindergarten. Campbell’s co-curricular interests include tutoring or leading a co-curricular club. Campbell has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Holly Raup
Holly most enjoys teaching the first grade. She is open to supervising any co-curricular activity at her school. Holly has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.

Josiah Burns
Biology, 6-12
Josiah graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in Biology. He currently teaches high school biology at a local private school. Josiah has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Victoria (Tori) Caldwell
Mathematics, 4-8
Tori graduated from Covenant College a B.A. in Education Studies (with concentrations in Mathematics and English Language Arts). She currently teaches 7th grade math at a public school in Georgia. Tori has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Briana (Kaelin) Dupree
Computer Science, 6-12
Kaelin graduated cum laude from Covenant College with a B.A. in Computer Science. She is currently teaching computer science at a local middle school. Kaelin’s co-curricular interests include colorguard, pickleball, and yearbook. Kaelin has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Emma Luke
English, 6-12
Emma graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in both English and History. She currently teaches 8th grade reading at a local middle school. Emma’s co-curricular interests include orchestra, cheerleading, and knitting. Emma has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Charles Lyons
Mathematics, 4-8
Charles graduated from Georgia Southern University with a B.B.A. in Management. He currently teaches mathematics at a public middle school in southern Georgia. Charles has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Blake Myers
Mathematics, 4-8
Blake graduated from Liberty University with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He currently teachers mathematics at a public middle school. Blake has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Mattie (Parker) Livingston
Science, 4-8
Mattie graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education, Biology, and Psychology). She would enjoy teaching Biology, Life Science, Anatomy, or Ecology. Mattie is also open to coaching cross country and track. Mattie has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Aaron Riggs
Mathematics, 4-8
Aaron graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in Education Studies (with concentrations in Math and Social Studies) and a minor in Sport Management. He currently teaches math at a local charter school. Aaron has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Justin Shull
History, 6-12
Justin graduated from Dalton State College with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in History. He currently teaches AP U.S. and world history at a local charter school. When not teaching, Justin also enjoys coaching. Justin has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Kara Start
History, 6-12
Kara graduated summa cum laude from Covenant College with a B.A. in History and minors in Education and Writing. She would most enjoy teaching high school history, and is open to leading a Theater/Drama club. Kara has accepted employment for the 2024-2025 school year.
